Arid habitat fireflies living at the summit of Mt. Kamuriki.
In late July after the rainy season, they can be seen dancing at dusk and are said to represent the god Tsukiyomi no Mikoto.
Hime fireflies live in arid areas.
Their larvae eat snails and they grow to be 5 mm long.
